Giorgio’s, classic cuisine with a modern twist
Mr. George Despatie opened the first Giorgio restaurant in 1977 on Sainte-Catherine East. Located on one of Montrealers’ favourite arteries, the friendly restaurant quickly won the hearts of hungry urbanites with its authentic Italian cuisine. Over the years, the popular establishment grew into a chain, which now includes nine restaurants, in and around the Montreal area.
Especially appreciated by groups of families and friends, Giorgio restaurants serve up classic Italian cuisine in a casual atmosphere, with a friendly and discreet service. Always on the lookout for recipes likely to please its customers, Giorgio’s regularly updates its menu in order to offer a varied selection. In 2006, Giorgio’s adopted a “bring your own wine” formula, a concept that is very popular among Quebecers.
